Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Here’s the last Superbowl recipe before the big game.  It is similar to the last recipe posted, in that they both have buffalo sauce but for a party I would probably serve these.  One, they are more filling and two, they are just fun party food!  Who doesn’t love sliders?

I did have to “steal” the last picture though because I made these for some friends for lunch.  I wasn’t going to take two buns out of twelve just to get a picture…lol!!  And for the record, they loved them 🙂  So, make up a batch kids it’s party time!

Buffalo Chicken Sliders

4 cups shredded, cooked chicken (such as rotisserie, which I used)
1/2 c. Frank’s RedHot Original or Frank’s RedHot Wings (I used original)
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. ranch dressing
3 stalks of celery, finely chopped
1 t. minced garlic
2 oz. cream cheese
1/2 t. freshly ground pepper
1 1/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c. blue cheese crumbles
12 Hawaiian rolls, split in half

Shred the cooked chicken, a rotisserie chicken worked great here because they usually yield about 4 cups of meat.  Plus, you don’t have to cook it!shredded chicken

Add all ingredients, except the blue cheese and buns, into a large skillet. buffalo chix sliders mix

I added a couple extra dashes of Frank’s hot sauce.  If you know everyone likes blue cheese you can add it to the mix.  I didn’t know if everyone liked it so I kept it separate so they could add it individually.  Simmer about 15 minutes, until everything is warmed through.buffalo chicken slider mix

Fill the buns with the buffalo chicken mixture and serve immediately.  You can also top them with coleslaw.  I just chose to serve them with celery sticks, ranch and blue cheese dressing.Buffalo-Chicken-Sliders-Supper-for-a-Steal

If you are making this for a party, I would put the chicken mixture in a crock pot on low or warm.

Oh and don’t forget to say your prayers before you eat…

Have a great Superbowl weekend everyone and see y’all next week!

The recipe looks delish and s’long as I keep the bleu cheese away from the table no one should fuss or complain, even! I don’t even know what to think of the video. If I tried to make Sam-I-Yam stop and pray before attacking her food dish, I’m thinking I would be the one needing prayer – so that I don’t get mauled and eaten! 😉

  2. Sarah says:

sounds delish! i would definitely omit the blue cheese though 🙂

  4. The sliders are fantastic, but that video stole the show. A big crockpot of that chicken is a perfect idea, bring on the blue cheese!!

I am so slow and haven’t been keeping up with my friends lately. 😦 I am truly sorry I missed these great Superbowl recipes. I have made some chicken hot wing type meatballs before, but these sliders look delicious and inspired! Like the new look too!
