Well the bake sale was a great success. At last count the total raised was $1440.00. Can I get a woot! for Veronica for organizing the sale (plus other money raisers)! I’m not sure how many times I have said thank you Veronica but, I’m saying it again 🙂 You are awesome!
I would also like to thank everyone else involved. Whether you donated an item/s, bid on an item, donated money, pimped Veronica’s blog or did all of the above, I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. There was more people that I did not know that participated than people I actually know! Which I think is amazing. The blogging world really is a cool place where people bond together. I have met many new bloggers in the past week or so and look forward to getting to know you even better!
As I read the comments on the fundraiser page and as I watched the items being bid on, I had to go outside (more than once) to catch my breath and (try to) stop the tears. Happy tears mind you but, tears none the less. I was overwhelmed by everyone’s support and generosity. It still boggles my mind. It’s nice to know that I have people in my life like YOU, even if some of us have never met, it’s the act of kindness that warms my heart. Truly.
For those of you on facebook, my friends or family I want to thank you too! I’m glad you joined in and I know at least one friendship that was made that way too. Yay for the internet!
If I did not make it to your blog to thank you, please know I didn’t mean to miss you but, it was hard to keep up. Overwhelming really. Please feel free to introduce yourself and I will surely come visit your blog too 🙂 If you don’t have a blog, I hope you will get to see this somehow/someway and know I am thankful to you also.
A quick update, I just have to schedule my gallbladder surgery now. I am getting weekly blood tests but, so far things are looking ‘normal’ again. I’m not swelled up like the Michelin Man with purple legs anymore, they have my medication under control now. I have one last MRI in January to make sure everything is okey dokey. I thank you for all your good thoughts, wishes, hugs and prayers!
I will be back to food blogging this Thursday and boy have I missed it 🙂 Again, thank you all for participating somehow/someway in the fundraiser. I am blessed to have you in my life and in my circle of friends! xoxo
