Aged White Cheddar Grilled Cheese with Marinara Sauce

I declare this fattening week because every post I have this week is probably way high in calories and fattening but, what the heck it’s good and it’s yummy!

Ever since I seen this post from my friend Rhonda, I’ve been craving an ooey gooey grilled cheese sammie.  I also seen an idea on pinterest, yep there’s that word again, to serve your grilled cheese with a side of marinara.  Genius I say!

Now let’s make grilled cheese even easier and make it with this…

Presently this is my favorite to use as marinara that is store bought.  Yes, I love homemade but sometimes you just have to use what you have.  And it’s easy, I love easy. Along with some good quality aged white cheddar…mmm!!

Top one slice of texas toast with some thick pieces of cheese, add the top piece of texas toast.  Put it in your cast iron pan or favorite pan to cook with.

Serve it with warm marinara and you can thank me (and pinterest) by mailing me gifts.  I like popcorn and Bonne Bell lip smackers.  Thank you 😉

Wow, that looks incredible! So fancy with the grill marks. 🙂 That post of Rhonda’s got me craving grilled cheese too and I’ve had several since but none as pretty as this. And it’s funny, I actually bought you some lipsmackers once when I was sending a package and didn’t include them b/c I realized they were sweet and you don’t like sweet! Good to know you do like them!

That’s so funny about the lip smackers! I guess I am strange about sweet things. I love lip smackers, cotton candy and watermelon are my favs. I also have a Hershey’s syrup lip gloss. I think I like the smell the most but, the chocolate one doesn’t even bother me to taste it. I’m just an odd duck…lol! 😉

  5. YAY FOR FAT WEEK 😀
    This looks absolutely gorgeous!!!

What a great recreation of the grilled cheese! I am glad my blog inspired you but yours looks even better. Using garlic flavored bread is genius.

  9. Suzie says:

Aww…thanks! I was hoping to do yours justice. Texas toast is the bomb girl! 🙂
